Cement Bill's Rock, Lariat Trail

This boulder, near the top of the Lariat Trail at Wildcat Point, was placed to honor "Cement Bill," who built this challenging 5-mile stretch up Lookout Mountain in 1913. For details on his accomplishment, visit City & Mountain Views magazine.

The inscription on the stone reads:

PLANNED, DESIGNED AND
BUILT THIS HIGHWAY
1912-1913
